Is the following command in a Terminal audible?
pasuspender -- speaker-test -Dplug:front:Intel -twav -c2 -l2
If it is, then please try playing a music file and running the following
commands simultaneously:
sudo fuser -v /dev/snd/*
pactl stat
** Changed in: pulseaudio (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Incomplete
