Ok, I did the debugging procedure two times and got different results.
1st Time:
After suspeding with 'sync; echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace; /etc/acpi/sleep.sh
force sync; echo 1 > /sys/power/pm_trace; /etc/acpi/sleep.sh force' and
resuming i got a text console with error messages concerning sda3 (root
partition). These messages kept on appearing and I restarted. The sleep LED
blinked all the time. Here is what dmesg said:
