What I mean by 800MB is that when the computer starts, it loads 800mb worth of software into the ram, so there is only 200mb remaining from the total 1GB. If I open just one more application, such as office writer (with no document loaded) then this remaining 200mb will disappear too. I have also attached a screenshot of system monitor too for your info. ** Attachment added: "Sys Mon Screenshot" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/818016/+attachment/2257804/+files/Screenshot-System%20Monitor--6-8-11.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/818016 Title: PC has 1gb of Ram but Ubuntu 11.04 Full starts using 800mb = Slow computer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/818016/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
