development release stage. It would help us greatly if you could test

- In a fresh installation of Ubuntu 10.10 certain inputs for the changing

the password from the administrative tools result in a premature
termination of the spawned "passwd" program that's forked to handle the
change.
It seems to trigger on certain input cases. It might be the case that
'passwd' is rejecting a change and the controlling script is failing to
handle the error condition.
