** Description changed:

+ Hardware affected: Broadcom Corporation BCM4322 802.11a/b/g/n Wireless
+ LAN Controller [14e4:432b]
+
Networking with this specific laptop models (others here work fine) was
normal until I enabled WPA2 encryption on our wireless networks. Now,
even if this model connects to the networks at times, the connection is
unstable. The laptop disconnects and cannot seem to connect again,
forcing somtimes multiple reboots just to get connected again for a
  little while.

After install and updates (Lucid 10.04.1 LTS) there was some error
(looking at dmesg at boot) about the firmware of the wireless chipset
not being supported, so I had to enable the Broadcom STA driver through
the Hardware drivers-box to get wireless working.

I'm trying to install the wireless backports modules to see if it solves
  the problem.
