Regarding Bug #811853
Able to run banshee from indicator-sound.
Run system-settings (g-c-c) and update-manager.
Update-manager has window-decorations and allows to check for updates.
Go to tty to grep the process. (attached files)
Since login isn't possible then because all windows are open and can't be
closed, except update-manager, stop and restart lightdm from tty. All windows
are then gone and user can login.
$ apt-cache policy indicator-session
indicator-session:

$ apt-cache policy indicator-sound
indicator-sound:
