Yup, I think so, sorry for not sending enough information for troubleshooting..
1. My Ubuntu version is 6.10 edgy
2. Bandwithd version is 2.0.1
3. Error Message :
Firts, the error comes up when I tried to install bandwithd with sudo
sudo dpkg -i SARGE-bandwidthd_2.0.1_i386.deb and it returns :
(Reading database ... 129275 files and directories currently installed.)
Preparing to replace bandwidthd 2.0.1 (using

subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 2
Errors were encountered while processing:
 SARGE-bandwidthd_2.0.1_i386.deb
And surprisingly, after unsuccesfull instalation, my update-manager
told me that the new version of bandwithd is available, I thought, I
might remove the error if I update it, so after downloading the
updated package, I run sudo aptitude dist-upgrade, and it returns this

E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)
A package failed to install. Trying to recover:

So, I tried to remove the bandwithd, I thought if I remove it first,
it might install well with the updated version, so I run sudo dpkg -r
bandwithd, and it returns :
dpkg - warning: ignoring request to remove bandwithd which isn't installed.

Now the bandwithd is still hanging around inside my ubuntu, and I
can't use it or remove it. I need the bandwithd to monitor my internet
connection.
