I have attached the requested apport log, from
apport-collect 799290
now that the latest kernel would stay connected long enough to authorize it. I
also tried to send it directly, don't know if it got through or not.
Also, Wicd in Icewm now seems to work fine on this machine (Intel Atom N450
Acer Aspire 1) so long as I have not attempted to run nm-applet first. The test
of linux 3.0.0-8-generic-pae started with icewm/wicd, my usual setup to
maximize speed on this little machine. Worked fine except for the plymouth
black screen bug, which some package or another brought back. Opened the
encrypted volume in Busybox and brought it up. Watched a video just fine with
icewm and wicd holding the wireless connection open, then logged out and back
in, this time to ubunty/unity with nm-applet. Back came the disconnects, but
much less frequently than before. In fact, I was able to walk it through apport
by waiting for connections, the proceeding with each stage.
