Public bug reported:
I have a computer with a MSI mainboard MS7519 with an Intel chipset. The CPU is
an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400. My Ubuntu system is Natty with the 2.6.38-10 kernel.
I have installed a Transcend USB 3.0 Expansion card TS-PDU3, and connect an
Iomega external harddisk to the connector. The harddisk is not recognized. The
harddisk is recognized on a Windows 7 system on the same computer, after
installation of the driver supplied by Transcend.
I hasve tried to run Apport, but the system freezes shortly after I am asked to
connect the harddisk, and a power-off is necessary.
Please let me know which further information I can connect.
Same problem exists in Oneiric Alpha3.
Best regards
Per Gjerlov
