Public bug reported: I found two strange things about displaying of Korean fonts in the Firefox of Dapper and Edgy. I havn't tried any other applications except OpenOffice (it works there), since I don't know any other apps who display bold texts.
First, bold text is displayed exactly as a normal text, as you can see in the file I will attach to this report. Italic on the other hand works. Since Ubuntu aims to support Korean fully, I think this is quite important. It doesn't matter if the Korean language support is installed or not or if I'm logged in using Korean as the system language or not. Also I found a strange rendering at this webpage: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Korea - The first character in the headline looks really strange. ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Korean fonts won't be displayed 100% correct https://launchpad.net/bugs/56908 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
