The issue as originally described should no longer be present in Ubuntu Oneiric, since /usr/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader- svg.so will no longer exist: it has transitioned to the multiarch directory precisely because of problems like this.
As such, it should be possible to avoid this problem in oneiric by installing libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0:i386. This will still give somewhat mixed results until the ia32-libs stack has been completely superseded by multiarch library builds. If you have specific 32-bit applications you're trying to run and can provide a list of the 32-bit libraries they need, we can factor those into the multiarch conversion roadmap. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/781870 Title: 32-bit libraries erroneously load 64-bit libraries To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ia32-libs/+bug/781870/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
