I was kind of upset for my wifi performance, and it was really unusable, nerve
racking ... so i decided to investigate a little further into this matter.
First i booted ubuntu live cd, and as expected i found my wifi working great;
thus i decided to re-install ubuntu and apply changes to the system while
staring at the wifi, hoping i could find the exact change that was affecting my
wireless link. And that's what i did , and i think I've found the one and the
only (i hope) reason of that malfunctioning.
To make it brief , i installed xubuntu10.10 , and replaced nouveau drivers with
the nvidia ion drivers available on their website ; so far so all good , wifi
performance great ; then i accidentally found out what was wrong.
I changed resolution from the standard (4myscreen) 1920x1080 to 1600x1200
(because it's the only that looks&fits best) while still staring at the ping
reported latency ... as i changed the resolution , latency started to grow just
like in the ping text file I've attached above.
I do not know why it's behaving like that , neither if it's a problem related
to the nvidia drivers or to the whole system.
anyways , I'm posting a link to a youtube video i have taken and uploaded so
you can watch exactly what I've been talking about :)

ps. I'd like to know what you think about it and if some other people had the
same problem.
