Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 11.04 hast PPS (pulse-per-second) support compiled into the kernel
(obviously to be used by ntpd).
ntpd utilizes the kernel-PPS support via its ATOM reference clock driver (nr.
22) which is NOT available (i.e. not compiled in) in ntpd.
Additionally, all PPS-related headers (e.g. "timepps.h") are missing in Ubuntu
such that re-compiling with the ATOM refclock-driver is not possible either.
==> in it's current state, PPS kernel support is NOT usable in Ubuntu.
** Affects: ntp (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
