I don't see a card reader device in the lspci output. Can you check
lsusb to see if a card reader device shows up? Be sure you have a card
inserted when you check, as some hardware disconnects the card reader
from the USB bus when there's no card present. Also be sure to try a few
different cards to make sure it's not just a bad card or a card the
particular model of card reader doesn't play well with.
