Jan Rüegg, this issue seems fixed in LibreOffice Calc via the Terminal:
cd ~/Desktop && wget
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openoffice.org/+bug/229258/+attachment/295510/+files/document.ods
&& localc -nologo document.ods
double clicked the graph then clicked outside of the graph and it looked
as expected. Does that work for you? If using Lucid or Maverick feel
free to perform via the Terminal:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/ppa && sudo apt-get update &&
sudo apt-get -y upgrade && sudo apt-get -y install libreoffice-calc
lsb_release -rd
