The installer crashed because you had run out of free space:

Dec 11 15:01:47 ubuntu ubiquity: Processing triggers for man-db ...
Dec 11 15:01:48 ubuntu ubiquity: /usr/bin/mandb: can't write to
/var/cache/man/23053
Dec 11 15:01:48 ubuntu ubiquity: : No space left on device
Dec 11 15:01:48 ubuntu ubiquity: debconf: DbDriver "templatedb": could not
write /var/cache/debconf/templates.dat-new: No space left on device
Dec 11 15:01:48 ubuntu ubiquity: dpkg: error processing man-db (--unpack):

The free space calculation routines have changed considerably since
maverick so it would be helpful if you were to try installing again with
the 11.04 release of Ubuntu. Thanks in advance!

** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Incomplete
