hello,

I installed Ubuntu 7.04 from scratch, I had no previous version before, and I
used to run synaptic to check for updates for the packages installed in the
system, just that..the system itself told me to report that error message
against update-manager.
since the error first ocurred, it always appears soon after the system is
loaded.
thanks a lot,

Ernani Kern

Assunto: [Bug 110906] Re: error in update manager

ernani,

thanks for the report. To figure out what is wrong a little more info is
needed. Could you explain a little further what you are doing when this
problem occurs. update-manager is a tool specifically for doing ubuntu
version upgrades, for example from 6.10 to 7.04. Since you say you are
already using 7.04 which is the latest available version what are you
trying to use update-manager for and what are you expecting to happen
that isn't happening?

If you are trying to update the applications on your system then you
want to use synaptic or adept depending on whether we are talking Ubuntu
or Kubuntu here
