Public bug reported: The problem seems to occur when the laptop is running on battery. The screens brightness varies very quickly up and down in an seemingly uncontrolled manner (the brightness itself doesn't vary very much, but enough for the eye to notice). After a few seconds of flickering, the brightness-level settles, but only to start flickering again a little later.
