Public bug reported:
When you have pending message notifications, the message indicator's
color changes from white to blue (default).
It would be very useful, I believe, if this functionality extended to
the session indicator. If you have pending updates, the indicator would
turn blue. If you require a restart for applied updates to take effect,
and it's important, it should turn red (this used to be the case - it
might still be, I'm not sure).
