All the outputs works with pulseaudio in Xubuntu 11.04, but requires some configuration:
Optional step (AFAIK) that affects to orders of profiles in pavucontrol, at least: Add line default-sample-channels=4 in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf and restart pulseaudio. (https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PulseAudio#Surround_sound_systems) Mandatory steps: start pavucontrol, click Configuration tab, Choose Analog Surround 4.0 Output + Analog Stereo Input. (or similar) Then both analog line outs work and additionally digital output works. Setting volume of front output device very high in pavucontrol (or setting volume high in indicator-sound or setting PCM high in alsamixer) gave some cracking when playing, so better leave it to "Base" setting, I think. Master track in alsa mixer is handy for setting front volume independent of rear volume and digital output, though muting it mutes all outputs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/560178 Title: The second analog output and the digital output of Creative Labs SB Live!
