Public bug reported:
launching one sound-using application will work, but then, as log as I don't
close it, no other application can play sound.
For exemple, launching vlc twice will have the first window act normally, and
the second to be silent (even if the first one is paused).
Happens for every other app: if a firefox window is using sound (for eg a
youtube clip), then vlc will be silent.
This happens since I upgraded from edgy to feisty.
Using ubuntu 7.04 on an Dell Inspiron 9400; switching from alsa to oss doesn't
change anything.
(also, the mic doesn't work anymore will file another bug report when I
have more detail on this).
