That's really peanuts compared to what Lucid outputs during boot (often hidden behind fancy plymouth):
I have seen Eastern Europe characters, even changing to normal codepage (Western Europe) while booting up. Just now I caught a screenshot where German word "Blöcke" was displayed as "Bl ...cke", see attached picture. But display of non-ASCII characters may change - depending on phase of moon? ** Attachment added: "Lucids typos, screenshot" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/mountall/+bug/830685/+attachment/2299561/+files/Lucid%27s_orthogaphy.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/830685 Title: Disk check message has inconsistent spelling: "disk" and "disc".
