Public bug reported:

Empathy is a GNOME client for Instant messaging, it uses telepathy,
nokia's mission control and reuse gossip's UI. The main goal is to
permit desktop integration by providing libempathy and libempathy-gtk
which provides a set of powerful widgets that can be embeded into any
GNOME application. For example an application like evolution can, with a
few lines code, display the avatar of a contact when receiving an email
and start a IM chat with him.

This project was previously known as Grapevine.
