In system-config-printer as it comes with Oneiric (1.3.6) it is no problem to enter '@' and ':' in the host name field for LPD printers and in the "Enter URI" input field. I Have tried
lpd://till:[email protected]/ in enter URI, selected a driver, and let system-config-printer generate the queue and this URI actually appeared in /etc/cups/printers.conf. And the printer actually prints. So at least for Oneiric this bug is fixed. ** Changed in: cups (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/826958 Title: lpd://user@host:/queue URLs no longer work To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cups/+bug/826958/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
