See attachment with output. Ubuntu 11.04
2.6.38-11-generic #48-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 29 19:02:55 UTC 2011 x86_64

I noticed it when trying to mount an IDE disk using a IDE to USB. I
disconnected everything (apart from keyboard and mouse) but I see that
it is still doing it.

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: usbutils

when I run lsusb it hangs there and does nothing at all, forever. When I
hit ctr-c it does not kill it and I have to kill it by hand. I only have
a basic keyboard and mouse plugged as well as stupid broadcom usb
wirless that I am trying to get to work.

I tried running it with gdb to see if anything else happens, nope just
  says starting program than hangs.

lsusb runs with the same devices on a diferent computer (running X64
  Lucid )
