Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: pmount
As long as I've been installing feisty from livecd (fresh install, not upgrade)
since its born, I'm trying to find a solution for my external usb ntfs disks
not automounting. This problem has been signalled by many people, but seems no
solution so far.
Today I tried to issue the command "pmount-hal /dev/sdb1" to see its effects,
and found this error:
libhal-storage.c 1401 : INFO: called LIBHAL_FREE_DBUS_ERROR but dbusError was
not set.
process 13013: Applications must not close shared connections - see
dbus_connection_close() docs. This is a bug in the application.
/dev/sdb1 obviously is an ntfs partition over my external usb disk.
However the partition is correctly mounted and workable. Issuing th
similar command "pmount /dev/sdb1" the partition comes mounted with no
error in /media/sdb1 instead /media/Repository1, where Repository1 is
the label of the partition.
May be the error above isn't related or partially related to my problem,
just my 2c of help.
Regards,
Maurizio
