Public bug reported:
I have a dell xps 1640 laptop with screen resolution 1920x1080. I have a
partition with oneiric installed with latest updates (as on 25th Aug). My
LightDM login still does not show the new gui which everyone else is reporting
on their laptops.
Interestingly, I am able to get the new LightDM gui when Oneiric is installed
on a virtual machine.
