The latest incarnation of this bug actually give audio, but only on the headphone jack, so it seems it no longer senses whether that gets activated or not. I've also tested forcing the channel in the mixer, but still no audio without headphones. But at least it works with headphones. Still annoying though, as it worked just fine before the last upgrade. In case I did not make it clear, I'm also "all oneiric" now on this laptop, although another set of updates today seriously broke unity, so that laptop isn't doing me a lot of good these days..
