Okay, so I rather stupidly ran apport-collect on the wrong system. So have deleted all that information (don't think I can delete those posts though). I will run again on the correct machine later!
** Description changed: I have tried several releases of Ubuntu without being able to use the second core of my machine (11.04, 10.10, 10.04). I have an Athlon X2 5600. I have tried suggestions from these previous bugs to no avail: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/437821 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/495960 https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/213011 I don't know what else to try. Any help would be very much appreciated! + + EDIT: Without thinking I ran apport-collect on the wrong machine. Will + run again this evening! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/832229 Title: (11.04) Athlon X2 second CPU core not recognised To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/832229/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
