The bug affects me, the workaround doesn't.

When installing libimobiledevice0 from  lucid, i get an error that the
package  is attempting to overwrite packages  from libimobiledevice1 (
/usr/share/hal/fdi/information/20thirdparty/31-apple-mobile-device.fdi
). The install fails after delivering this message. I'm skeptical  of
removing  libimobiledevice1, since so much on Ubuntu 10.10 seems to rely
on it.

I don't see which version of amarok you're using, I'm using 2.4.0
