Hello,

I had the same problem while trying to get a, manual configured, wired
network connection during initial trial of 7.04. In the screens from
System Settings/Network Settings I could set and see all the proper
values for IP-address,submask, default gateway and Domain Name Servers
but as soon as I applied the settings and backed to the overview of the
System Settings screen the configured values were lost and, At random,
replaced with IP address from complete different IP-address range, other
submask, o.o.o.o default gateway address or lost Domain Name Servers.

Finally I decided to install Kubuntu 7.04 and after that I could save my
manual configured, wired network settings and could access the network.

Regards, Frans
