Thank you for reporting this bug. Unfortunately, GNOME Shell was never
officially supported on Ubuntu 11.04. I'm closing this bug as the
developers are busy getting Ubuntu 11.10 ready with GNOME 3.2 and there
doesn't appear to be extra developer effort to spend trying to get this
working again. The first Ubuntu 11.10 beta will be released later this
week and I recommend you try it if you don't mind trying a development
release which still has a fair amount of bugs.
