Unfortunately, "Debian Python infrastructure" doesn't narrow it down
enough, what with python-central, python-support, and dh_python2 at
least in the mix.

I do see this bug crop up from time to time, but haven't really figured
out why it happens, and as Colin points out, it's just rare enough to
not usually be worth burning a lot of time on, especially because manual
cleanup or removal/install will take care of it.   :/
