** Description changed:

  Hi,

Actual paraview version FTBFS for several reason: first because of
GCC4.6, and then because of libav. Those 2 FTBFS can be fixed, but then
a new FTBFS appears, showing an incompatibility between paraview and
vtk. and easier way to have a working package is to use 3.10.1 and fix
the only FTBFS because of libav.

To justify that this is safe to update the package here are:
  - debdiff between the proposed package and Debian
  - upstream changelog since 3.8.1
  - the log of the build, compressed as it's a big file (71Mb)
  - install log
- -
+ - tests done: I'm having issues with my VM that are independent of paraview,
so the only test I've done is run paraview and play with some options. Anyway,
I still think this is safe to upload to Ubuntu as all issues in Debian has been
fixed and it runs in Ubuntu.
+
+ Thanks,
+ Fabrice
