Change in behavior with 20110830-i386 which may or may not be an official iso-testing image.
The installation fails and says so with the warning that "Installation step failed" and goes on to explain that the step that failed is "Select and install software". After trying again, and failing again, I chose "finish the install" and after completion boot failed, so I tried recovery mode and ran apt-get -f install which showed nothing but running apt-get install lubuntu- desktop shows: Depends: gnome-system-tools but it is not going to be installed, along with the following recommends not being installed; abiword, gnome- mplayer, gnome-time-admin, guvcview. Then it says, E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages. I hope this is helpful. I'm subscribing Jean-Baptiste Lallement in hopes of finding out whether or not this is a true iso-testing image. Apologies in advance because I know that I've leaned on you a lot lately, and I know you're very, very busy. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/835961 Title: Lubuntu oneiric alternate CD install fails to install lubuntu-desktop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/debian-installer/+bug/835961/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
