The display does come up, but the X server screen is corrupted maybe 70% of the time, it looks similar to the frame tearing that happens in some corrupted video files.
Trying to connect from the network is totally unsuccessful, and the software based watchdog timer doesn't appear to work either. The reason that I think it is a problem with the ACPI is that the fan keeps running and the disk keeps spinning, the system just totally ignores all input.
