EDIT: Whoops...I probably should have mentioned I'm using the very
initial release of Gutsy....

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Whenever I type two or more characters and Writer cannot identify a
word, I get the following error:

/usr/lib/openoffice/program/soffice.bin: symbol lookup error:
/usr/lib/openoffice/program/libspell680li.so: undefined symbol:
_ZN8Hunspell5spellEPKc

And the program exits immediately....It seems like its just a reference
problem.
