Public bug reported:

after i install kernel 3.0.4 from ubuntu kernel page, i cannot connect
any wireless network using my wireless device on my notebook, but it
works fine for earlier kernel, so i search for the solution and said i
need to upgrade this package, and it crashes...please advise, because i
cannot use my wireless network adapter... i'm using notebooks dell
inspiron 1464 with broadcom 4312...
