Daniel, instead of directing me to look at good searchboxes on the web, could you point to specific examples?
Here's some right search icon examples: Firefox Bing.com Windows 7 GNOME 3 Notable left example: Apple Google doesn't use a search icon, but the "Search" button is to the right because that makes sense. It is non-trivial to attempt to convert all search boxes to be on the left side to keep consistency but if the GNOME standard is search icon on the right, it shouldn't be too hard for the remaining holdouts to do the Right Thing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/828567 Title: Search icon needs to be on right side of searchbox To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/828567/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
