Public bug reported:
If my router goes offline for some reason and I restart my router kde
can't find any web sites or do email although ktorrent seems to work.
If I go to System Settings then go to Networking Settings, then go to
Network Connections, then go into Administrative mode, then select eth0
(the only one available to me), then disable it and then re-enable it
everything works again. Although ktorrent worked before it seems to work
better after doing this but haven't really looked into it.
I know this is an odd bug. My computer's hooked up to a UPS and my
router is not. So if theres a momentary power cut I'll lose my router
and have to restart it. Also, my Gentoo install doesn't have this
problem so maybe it's linked to how K/Ubuntu handles networking?
PS. I'm using Kubuntu
