Did you file this bug against the wrong package? There is another alarm-
clock package that is unrelated to alarm-clock-applet (except by name).
alarm-clock-applet as present in Oneiric is built with indicator support, which
is enabled via a configure option, as shown from the summary in the buildlog[1]:
