I seem to have X totally jacked up in that install, no matter it's just a test installation and there's a new build notification for Ubuntu right now. Anyway, since I couldn't boot it I copied the logs from a parallel installation so you could take a look. There were both an lxdm.log and an lxdm.log.old so I copied both.
This is not a typical installation for me, but I've noticed on the forums that users do often install one flavor of Ubuntu and later install a different DE. And I'd noticed people talking about lxdm not being able to boot Ubuntu in the past so I decided to give it a look myself. ** Attachment added: "lxdm_logs.tar.gz" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxdm/+bug/838106/+attachment/2338678/+files/lxdm_logs.tar.gz -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/838106 Title: Oneiric lxdm won't boot ubuntu To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxdm/+bug/838106/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
