New version of kernel cannot do migration between two XenServers
Overview:
The migration of a Lucid VM from one server to another does not
systematically work. It has been proven to work on some kernels, but it
does fail with other recent kernels. The migration functionality has
been proven to work with the following kernels :
• 2.6.32-33.69
• 2.6.32-33.72
These other kernels have been proven to fail with the migration feature
:
• 2.6.32-33.70
• 2.6.32-33.75
Reproducible: 100% on specific kernels
Workaround:
Use Lucid's older kernels that have been proven to work (list cited
above)
