"View" -> "Discovered Printers" is only for listing printers on remote
CUPS servers which share their printers (see also printer sharing
options under "Server" -> "Settings"). This function is not to search
for network printers (printers which can be connected via Ethernet or
WLAN). For network printers which are not already set up on and shared
by a remote CUPS server you have to use "Add a printer". Closing ...
