The actual error, comprehensively hidden by guile to the point where I had to single-step through dlopen in order to find it, is:
/tmp/buildd/guile-gnome-platform-2.16.1/corba/gnome/corba/.libs /libguile-gnome-corba-2.so.0: undefined symbol: TC_ORBit_ITypes_struct This symbol is in /usr/lib/libORBit-2.so. libguile-gnome-corba-2 has: NEEDED libguile-gnome-gobject-2.so.0 NEEDED libguile.so.17 NEEDED libpthread.so.0 NEEDED libc.so.6 TC_ORBit_ITypes is used directly by libguile-gnome-corba, so it should link against it directly too. I'll fix this and forward upstream. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/832914 Title: guile-gnome-platform version 2.16.1-6ubuntu1 failed to build in oneiric To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/guile-gnome-platform/+bug/832914/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
