Attached is serial console log of a failed boot from a virtual machine. I've found it easy to reproduce the race in a kvm virtual machine using the daily oneiric iso. Results match what I encounter on real hardware:
Install oneiric, using standard guided partition table. Attach a second storage dev pvcreate /dev/sdb vgcreate test-vg /dev/sdb lvcreate -L 100M -n test-lv test-vg Reboot. Seems to hit ~1/5 boots. ** Attachment added: "serial.out" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/818177/+attachment/2341766/+files/serial.out -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/818177 Title: HP DL380G5 root disk mounted read-only on boot and boot fails To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/818177/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
