Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gs-common

In Ubuntu Feisty Fawn Nautilus has a preview for EPS-figures.

Nautilus and many other programs such as Evince, Lyx, etc. use gs to
convert these figures.

After the dist-upgrade gs results in a very high hard disk use/load that
it effectily blocks the hard disk and any other system activity. The
user has no other option than reboot.

A workaround is:

1) start galternatives
2) select gs in the right pane
3) choose gs-gpl instead of gs-esp as a default
=> now it works well.

I mark this as a security issue since I had do a forced reboot via text
terminal to access my computer again due to the high hard disk load cause by
the misconfiguration.
Note that in edgy eft all worked well!

** Affects: gs-common (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
