[ 31.958964] hda-intel: IRQ timing workaround is activated for card #0. Suggest a bigger bdl_pos_adj. is still appearing in my 'dmesg | grep hda-intel' output, as of this moment. I'm not experiencing any further problems with massive IO wait, regarding my hard drives, but the system is still a bit sluggish, compared to my Windows 7 installation on the same PC (but on a different drive).
