Chris: please pardon my lack of experience in this, but I noticed that on the "All software packages for Oneiric" page: http://packages.ubuntu.com/oneiric/allpackages ...that gfvs is listed as 1.9.3. Does this mean that this bug fix will probably only make it into Oneric + 1? In other words, is it too late for a bug fix such as this to get into Oneiric?
