Chris: please pardon my lack of experience in this, but I noticed that on the 
"All software packages for Oneiric" page: 
http://packages.ubuntu.com/oneiric/allpackages
...that gfvs is listed as 1.9.3.  Does this mean that this bug fix will 
probably only make it into Oneric + 1?  In other words, is it too late for a 
bug fix such as this to get into Oneiric?

Perhaps a better question is this: when a bug like this gets marked as
"Fix Released," does that generally mean the fix will only make it's way
into one of two versions of Ubuntu in the Future (unless i'ts a security
fix, in which case it would be released into the latest, current release
of Ubuntu?)
