do you have systray enabled? please run the command below, logout and
login again and see if the problem happens for you still
$ set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['JavaEmbeddedFrame',
'Mumble', 'Wine', 'Skype', 'hp-systray']"
